Christian Education
The place within the church where we grow and learn to live out our calling with strength and wisdom is the heart of any congregation. Sunday Morning Sunday School for all ages is a key part of that effort, but many other venues are available in which we can come together for instruction, dialog, and learning.
Sunday School for all ages is at 10 am.
Our children have classes with Resurrection Presbyterian Church, which shares our building.
Our youth group classes are in their upstairs classroom. Judy R is the youth leader.
Our adult class, led by Peggy A and others, meets in the church parlor. The 4-week study for February 19-March 11 is Why? Making Sense of God's Will, followed by a 3-week Lenten study on immigration issues led by Pastor Larry March 18-April 1.
Sunday School: At 10:00 AM each Sunday from September through May we provide classes for children and adults which help us all explore our faith and grow in our Christian life together. We currently have a joint Sunday School for children with Resurrection Presbyterian Church, which meets in our building. Each congregation offers its own adult class.
Weekly Bible Study: Each Wednesday afternoon at various times of the year, Pastor Larry Warren offers study opportunities using the latest in Bible Study material from the DISCIPLE Bible Study curricula or other materials. All are welcome to participate in these classes.
Special Opportunities: We occasionally offer special studies, especially during Advent and Lent. These are sometimes in conjunction with other churches in our East Pierce County Circuit (EPCC) of United Methodist churches.
Cost: There is no charge for curriculum materials for any of our nursery or children's educational offerings. We traditionally allow the adults in various classes the opportunity to contribute to the cost of the books used in their study. No one will be discouraged from participation if the cost of the books is a difficulty.
